PR GIRLS DO IT BETTER EVENT RECAP

On the weekend of August 5-7, 2016, PR Girls Do It Better, an empowerment movement for current and aspiring women in business and future women in the public relations industry, hosted a 3 day Business Summit. 

Women from all over the country gathered for a weekend of inspiration and learning how to build, grow and market their businesses. The  weekend kicked off with the Empowerment Panel & Mixer hosted by  Jelisa Raquel of Broadcasting Beauty, giving an inside look on being a woman in business, teaching attendees how to invest on a budget, build a following and more. 

 Panelists included: Kelli F. Kelley, Creative Director and Lead Publicist of Kelley Brand Communications, Deidre Palode, Founder and Publicist of MayLee Media, Brittany Butler, Money Stylist and Blogger of MissBFab.com, Founder of PR Girls Do It Better/ Lead Publicist of PR Mentality, LLC Lindsey Walker and Aleesha Carter, Publicist of KAC U Images. Aleesha was also honored during the event for her outstanding performance in the PR Industry.

 Guests enjoyed branding workshops on Saturday August 6, 2016 from industry professionals such as Ronnika Ann of iGNPR, Lillie Mae of the Lillie Mae PR Agency, and Erica Dias of The B PR Firm. Keynote Presenter Tressa "Azarel" Smallwood,Publisher of Life Changing Books gave an unforgettable lecture on Success And Entrepreneurship. 

The summit wrapped Sunday with brunch and additional workshops on social media, staying motivated as an entrepreneur and more. EVENT RECAP: SECRETS THE MOVIE RELATIONSHIP PANEL AND SCREENING


On Friday June 10, 2016. Atlanta socialites, influencers and media personnel gathered at The Haven Lounge for a steamy, hot and romantic relationship panel and screening of the upcoming film "Secrets", in theaters Fall 2016.

Hosted by Kim Ford, Publisher of Jubilee Magazine and Mikey, Kontrol Magazine's Online Editor, the panel included Award Winning Publisher and  Executive Producer of  the film Tressa "Azarel" Smallwood and cast,  Harold "House" Moore (VH1 Single Ladies), Dennis "LA" White (Notorious) and Deric Augustine. 

Guests had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of clips from the movie and participate in  a Q & A with the panelists about love, marriage and relationships. 

Directed by Juwan Lee, "Secrets" the movie  is adapted from the best selling book, "Secrets of A Housewife" by J. Tremble. Secrets" the movie is guaranteed to captivate audiences with its thrilling twists, dramatic turns and true to life plot points.

 

 The film “Secrets” is noted to be an official selection and highlight of this year’s ABFF celebration. With the ever-growing trend of novel-to-film adaptations and success of such films including, Zane’s 'ADDICTED'. Smallwood, Lee and Tremble are bringing edgy story lines and great business practice back to the Black film and entertainment community. The release and premiere at ABFF is the first stop for Smallwood as she continues to amplify her brand throughout the industry.

EVOLVING BEAUTY ATL TOUR EVENT RECAP

On Monday May 2, 2016 Beauty Culturalist  and  Author, Phylencia "PT" Taylor co-hosted the Evolving Beauty New Age Beauty Book Tour--Atlanta Edition. Guests enjoyed beauty industry insight from the panel discussion session. 

Panelists included: Beauty Blogger Kiwi The Beauty, CEO of Foot Kandy Judy "Jae" Nash, CEO of Myavana Candace Mitchell and CEO of Honey Pot, Beatrice Nixon. The panel was moderated by Balanced Not Busy Founder, Ciji Tatum and hosted by Master Stylist of She Salon + Lifestyle Event Guru Barry Reynolds.

The New Age Beauty Book Tour--Atlanta Edition, was held at Bar Taco, guests were treated to specialty "Evolving Beauty" cocktails and gourmet tacos.  

The Evolving Beauty Atlanta tour stop celebrated Phylencia Taylor's debut business book, "Evolving Beauty: The Business of Beauty In A New Age".  The book was inspired by her passion for the billion-dollar beauty industry as a former Corporate Beauty Executive: Carol's Daughter, Wella Corporation and Johnson Products. Today, she’s Chief Consultant/Principle of Shine Beauty Culture Consultancy, and Content Curator + InterCultural Strategist for Dollar General's Beauty Cents Magazine.
